The impresario Peter Shapiro, has done it again, producing the second annual Jazz & Colors festival.  This free, open air concert, brings a wealth of Jazz to Central Park today from 12:00 – 4:00.  The well orchestrated event features thirty jazz acts all playing the same set list in thirty locations throughout the park.    The roll call is packed with classic hits like “Maiden Voyage,” from Herbie Hancock and  “Take Five,” by Paul Desmond, along with lesser known works like Earl Hagan’s big band arrangement,  “Harlem Nocturne.”  So take a walk in the park and enjoy the sweet sounds.
